(Evanston, Ill.) The Youth Job Center of Evanston staff has been selected to conduct a presentation at the 2010 NAWDP (National Association of Workforce Development Professionals) Youth Development Symposium, “Making the Transition to a Successful Future,” which will be held Nov. 8-10 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Chicago. There will be more than 1,500 people from throughout the United States attending the conference.
YJC staffers said they were eager to present at the conference. “I’m really excited to present our program to NAWDP members and network with other job development professionals!” said Employer Outreach Coordinator Jordan Burghardt. “It is a great honor to be selected to present at this year’s NAWDP Youth Symposium national conference,” said Out Of School Youth Program Coordinator Molly Verble. “I have attended the conference for the past four years and gained a lot from the workshops and speakers. It will be great for the YJC staff to share innovative programming ideas with workforce professionals from all across the country. We are looking forward to it! “
The Youth Job Center of Evanston prepares youth ages 14-25 for success in the workplace through job-readiness, placement and employment support in partnership with employers.
