( YJC Development Director Hoopingarner says this grant will make a special impact on the YJC. “We’re thankful for the opportunity and assistance offered by Designs for Dignity to create a learning environment in which our youth can feel even more comfortable and focused,” she said. Designs for Dignity was created with the belief that human being are entitled to, and nurtured by, living and working within creative environments. The organization offers grants to non-profits for a variety of pro bono design services, including consultations and in-kind donations. Since 1983, the Youth Job Center of Evanston has assisted more than 20,000 young job seekers with job placement, employment counseling and ongoing support. The YJC continues to provide quality-based programming to the community and expects to serve more than 1,400 youths in the next year. The Media: For more information, contact |
