Programs and Services

A broad range of employment readiness solutions to meet the needs of youth and employers

All prospective YJC clients must fill out a YJC Jobseeker's Application (found on the right) and attend an orientation. Please go to the Calendar under the Events menu to see the date and time of our next orientation. Once you complete the orientation, you will be placed in the program that best meets your needs. You will then be able to meet with a counselor.

Check out below for descriptions of our programs!

The Summer Tutors Program

The Summer Tutors Program hires students ages 14-16 to be teacher, library and office assistants in District 65 elementary summer schools. Tutors learn valuable job skills and gain experience in education and administration as they serve as positive role models for their younger peers. As mentors, participants provide the extra attention that younger students need, while nurturing a passion for learning that will last a lifetime.
